Modern and alternative wedding inspiration at the Market House, Reading

This styled wedding shoot was very much needed coming into 2022. After not being able to do much makeup work and more clients embracing the natural look, I was craving something more creative and colourful.

If you’re a biker jacket wearing, rock chick, fun and bright colour loving kind of bride, this is the wedding inspo for you.

The colours against the black here give a really cool contrast and make the styling really fun. Love!

The photography style by Claire Bemister gives this a really cool, modern and editorial vibe and I wanted to keep the makeup fresh and simple with a pop of colour to reflect this.

Teaming this with a wavy ponytail still kept the style up to date but soft enough to have as your wedding hairstyle and it showed off the dress and puff sleeves combo Marie Chandler Bridal created.

Having another outfit to change into for the wedding reception is becoming a lot more popular now. I love the addition of this Sookrah headband for the wedding meal and then a complete outfit change for partying! I decided to tone down the pink eyeshadow and a pop of pink on the lips to go with the dress and the suit (more men to wear pink suits please).

You can’t have a party without a photobooth and glitter bar! We had some fun at the end creating glitter looks and taking silly photos. The glitter is easy to wash off so embrace it and chuck it on!
