Last year I had such a great morning doing the hair for bride Char and her best friend and bridesmaid, Flossy. The brief was my vibe - loose waves, lots of texture and detail, and braids incorporated somewhere.
I created this relaxed half updo, complete with a fishtail braid, fluffed out for more volume and texture.
Char knew that she’d be moshing and headbanging in the evening thanks to Alt Party Co bring the awesome rock tunes, so wanted something that wasn’t perfect so she didn’t have to worry about it moving.
It was such a hot day too! My tip is to work WITH your hair. Char has straight, thick, heavy hair and knows it doesn’t curl well. A perfectly curled, smooth, sleek look paired with heat and moshing is not going to last. If you know the style works with your hair type, that is going to create a really calm, relaxed mood for you so you are not worrying about your hairstyle. Enjoy your day!
