Rock and Roll Relaxed Vibes Wedding
Rock and Roll Relaxed Vibes Wedding
When Jess (The Italian Dream) posted the concept for this rock and roll vibe shoot, I knew I had to be in the team! This aesthetic is my absolute fave and the perfect chance to finally create a bridal fauxhawk hairstyle I’d wanted to try for a while. Teamed with smokey eyes and red lips, it was so fun to do. I wanted to go for this look because you can still create this without it looking and feeling too heavy, you can totally wear it on your wedding day! All too often my brides are told that using black eyeliner is too much, or a smokey eye is not bridal, it’s for nights out. Bridal hair and makeup can be whatever you want it to be, as long as you feel comfortable in it and don’t look like a completely different person!
The smokey eyes were created using Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. This is a great palette as the shades are all neutral colours, so will suit everyone! Keep the technique simple - just use 2 colours and concentrate building the darker shadow up in the crease and outer corner, blending it out to create the smokey effect. I then used Urban Decay 24/7 Longwear Glide On Pencil in Zero on the top lash line and blended that into the shadow. Whatever was left on the brush I applied just under the eye, and applied the pencil to the waterline too.
I chose to use a lipliner by Arbonne in Cherry, and then Arbonne Lipstick in Dahlia to compliment the green skirt and the red veil - too warm a shade and it would have looked out of place. The lips weren’t too in your face and complimented the eyeshadow perfectly.
